Reciprocal Privileges

Reciprocal privileges have been reinstated as of July 1st 2021. All visitors must abide by the PHO requirements that are in place.

Most yacht clubs have pre-arranged agreements in place for members to stay at each other’s Main Docks for either a minimal charge or at no cost. Each Yacht Club will have different rules governing the use of reciprocal moorage. For example, first night free and minimal wharfage due for up to 2 or more nights or pay for power only.

Reciprocal arrangements do not extend to Yacht Club Outstations.

Using reciprocal moorage during the cruising season can be a fun and economical way to see areas in and around our coast. It is best to book ahead and find out what the rules for the use of reciprocal moorage are in each club. Most of our reciprocals have web sites and the links can be found on our web site under “Reciprocal Moorage”.

Phone numbers and/or radio calling stations have been provided where possible. This is a great service offered by Yacht clubs. When traveling in areas around the Pacific Northwest, in other parts of the country or the world, by using your membership card at reciprocating Clubs it is possible to use their private facilities such as restaurants and or pubs.

You also have the option of looking up reciprocal clubs online at yachtdestinations.org. This will provide you with a geographical map of reciprocating clubs and further details on their amenities. If there are clubs you would like added to the list, please bring them forward to the Staff Captain.
